When you’re rushing around and don’t have much time to think about what to wear, white and black provides a great solution. You can accessorize with other colors or patterns and with your bag. You don’t need to reflect nor try different things on. A black and white combo speaks simple and easy. That’s a good mantra for moms whose lives are inevitably too complex.

Here, you see me in a JCrew structured white top, with Jcrew black cotton pants, and my favorite Club Monaco embroidered gladiator sandals, recommended to me by my buddy Tamela who’s started an amazing brand with great style choices for modern moms.Marc and I found a little wine bar around the corner called Vin sur Vingt. It’s the perfect place to sit and talk. Simple things like sitting and talking have become challenging for us at home, where there’s a lot of action, chaos and loud voices (not to mention balls flying)!  Not having time for a proper date night last weekend, we ran over to Vin sur Vingt for our catch-up time.I’m a big fan of Jcrew’s style. I peruse their sales and invariably find items at the right price that look fresh and just different enough.  These pants have become a staple of mine since last summer and I have them in black, white and navy.

Here’s the top from the back. I like fitted tops. Especially when you have a wide pant leg like this one. Don’t mind the lady in there enjoying her glass of vino. She needed a break too!
