Hello Mamas! We are enjoying some amazing spring weather here today. Hope you are too. The coming of spring offers us moms and dads of newbies the opportunity to re-assess our baby transportation options! Seriously, it is no longer a must that your baby be fully bundled up and protected by the elements. If you are shopping for baby carriers and wondering which baby carrier is right for you, don’t forget to take a look at the light and comfortable Sakura Bloom Sling! This video is my second and last on this wonderful carrier and I’m say to say “goodbye” since I’ve loved getting to know it so much.
Whereas my prior video offered a review of the features of the Sakura Bloom Sling, today’s video offers a full demonstration of how to safely use this baby carrier! I find this carrier to be so convenient and lightweight and a great option for the hotter summer months! Take a look at my video for more info on this light, breathable and adjustable sling carrier!
How to Wear a Baby Sling
Whereas in the prior video, I walked you through all of the mechanics of this wonderful carrier, here I show you how to safely position your baby with their legs out in this carrier and then with their legs in. First, let’s talk about the legs in position. This can get a little tricky, so it’s important to do this properly. When you’re carrying your baby so with their legs inside of the carrier, you’ll need to make a small kangaroo-type pouch for the baby and then to make sure that her legs are positioned comfortably inside. When carrying a bigger baby with their legs outside of the carrier, you’ll have to adjust the fabric so that the piece closer to your chest is lower. Then, your baby’s legs can dangle out against your body. This might need some getting used to, so don’t worry if you don’t get it right the first time! Practice makes perfect, especially when it comes to baby carriers!
Once the Sakura Bloom sling is adjusted to the right level for you and your baby, you can now place your baby inside. While still supporting her neck, lower the baby into the carrier’s pouch, checking to ensure the baby’s bottom is lower than her knees. This will avoid unnecessary pressure on her knees and legs. Once safely tucked into the fabric, the legs can find their ways outside of the pouch. Now you’re ready to run some errands or enjoy the summer weather outside with your baby in the Sakura Sling!
In all, the Sakura Bloom Sling provides a very safe and easy way to carry your baby, and like other baby carriers, allows you to go about your daily life without interruption since it’s completely hands-free! For more details, check out my video.
Thanks so much for watching!! xoxo Melissa
