10 New Year’s Resolutions for Moms

Hello everyone and Happy New Year. Each year since I’ve started Cloudmom, I’ve written a post filled with my New Year’s resolutions. Looking back, I’m realizing that these resolutions are sometimes repeats of those from the year before. Small wonder since aren’t we always trying to be better at the same things? What do my old resolutions look like? Well, I aim to be more patient, to sweat the small stuff less, to enjoy more… to read more, call old friends, and be more concentrated on what matters. Lofty goals and sure, come end of January they are largely on the back burner as I muddle through the challenges of our daily family life.

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to create this site and to hear from the amazing people who write in, and I’ve certainly learned far more than I’m sure I’ve imparted in terms of wisdom and good common sense. So this year, rather than focus on myself as a mom and our family life and what could improve, I’ve decided to look to YOU.
Straight from our Facebook page, here are 10 of the best resolutions I think any Mom could muster up …
1) Get off my phone and spend more time with my kids. Hear hear!
2) Get healthier.
3) Be more active with my kids — do more.
4) Be more independent from my spouse/ significant other.
5) Read more.
6) Concentrate less on chores and play more with my kids.
7) Trust my kids more.
8) Save money.
9) Laugh more with my kids.
10) Love ME more.
Inspiring, right? When I look back at 2014, I remember the times we sat cuddled reading together and the times we got out as a family, laughed, and did something different, new and fun.
Your resolutions call for a happier, healthier, more balanced family life… I hope I can live up to them.
