Can You Supplement With Formula And Then Exclusively Breastfeed?
A viewer is asking whether how to exclusively breastfeed when you’ve started out by giving formula for the first few months.
Got me thinking. We’ve recently done shows on supplementing with formula those first few days in the hospital, and during the first few weeks of a baby’s life. Now the question is: how do you transition to exclusive breast-feeding when you’ve been supplementing with formula and using bottles for the first few months of a baby’s life. Can you transition to exclusive breastfeeding when you’ve started off this way?

Of course!.. My daughter is 36 and I did that.. She was a preemie..4.10..came home with me in the 3 days we got back then.. On supplement.. After a month..or less..I exclusively breastfed. I doubt we would have needed the supplement in this day and age..but it was recommended..
