Our family ventured down to Washington, D.C. for Thanksgiving weekend to visit Marc’s mom Bea. Upon arrival, we visited the Supreme Court and drove around the major monuments of our nation’s capital. What a grand city Washington is!

Knowing that I was looking at a five plus hour car ride with kids — followed by a tour of an austere place — I wanted to look presentable yet feel comfortable. I decided upon this JCrew knit grey dress. My over-the-knee suede Stuart Weitzman boots completed the look, keeping my legs warm.
