Like so many parents, I’ve just emerged from a flurry of end-of-the-year school performances and assemblies. I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted!

Having just gone through this, I can totally relate to a blog I read on the New York Times titled “To the Rude Parent at the Recital.” Risa McDonell writes about how many parents leave as soon as their children perform, and how unfair that is to the kids performing at the end.

Risa, I couldn’t agree with you more. So get ready and watch for my top three DON’TS for parents attending a child’s performance.
