Hello mamas and papas! Hope that you and your families are well and weathering the storm.
This year, we’ve decided to do an Easter/Passover Giveaway here on CloudMom to boost the spirits of those of us who are quarantining with the kids and scouting out creative Easter and Passover activities.
Easter Activities for Kids at Home
First up, we want to talk about two fabulous books (along with some fun activities) written by a husband/wife team, Susan and Josh of Baby Rhino Books. In Unlikely Friends, inspired by a true story, a baby rhino and a billy goat become “unlikely friends” and overcome resistance from other animals, eventually helping to save all the animals from disaster. In We Must Start Today, two of the smallest creates, little ants, rally all the larger animals to help work together and save their local habitat from ruin. Both books have cheerful illustrations and delightful rhymes, in addition to good themes, that make the books a pleasure to read to little ones again and again.
And for the Easter and Passover holidays, Susan and Josh have created some special Easter and Passover pages based on each book. All four pages are available here for downloading or printing (click on the image below). From Unlikely Friends, there is an Easter Egg hunt for the kids to do, as well as an Easter coloring page.
From We Must Start Today, kids can look for cleverly hidden Afikomen as well as complete a seder-themed coloring page.
So Happy Easter, Chat Sameach, and celebration of life. Wherever you are and whatever you are celebrating, we are wishing you a renewal of hope, joy, and faith.
Melissa
