Nothing beats a fresh, white dress for summer. Every year, my Spanish pal Sandra and I go for a special lunch at the end of the summer to catch up and say goodbye. She’s become such a close friend that we now talk and text daily! I never would have been able to survive our family’s move to Barcelona without her wise counsel! Having looked forward to our lunch, it was fun to put together a new outfit for the occasion.

I chose this white Sandro lace dress with a cotton base. The dress is wide enough to fit an array of figures and loose enough to be great for any daytime event. It’s also fancy enough for night. The elastic waistband and knee-length speak comfort.

Gladiator Sandals with Dress

For my feet, I chose this peach-colored pair of Alaia gladiator sandals which I bought on sale last month in Paris. The peach color is such a neutral and great with white, black, beige or navy. I’m addicted to gladiator sandals and always on the lookout for new, fun versions. This ankle pair zips up the back. With an almost flower-like motif, the tops of the sandals are composed of an array of circular knots.
