A few weeks back Marc and I were invited to a fun 70’s disco party. Several hours before see me asking myself what to wear. Scouting out costumes on Amazon a week or two before would have been a great idea, but sadly that idea did not occur to me on time. Into my closet, I plunged!

I’ve always loved bell-bottomed jeans and fortunately, I never part with jeans I like. So the first item I decided upon was this pair of Madewell wide bell-bottoms. Then, I fished out some pale “summer boots” from a few seasons before. The color had a seventies feel.

Off the shoulder blouses have made a comeback. This fun JCrew top with brightly colored shimmering stars seems disco-y enough. On you go, top.

I’m not one for heavy jewelry but some bangles seemed inevitable.  Then, an oversized purple plastic wring.

Marc had headed to the costume store to pick up his own Disco shirt — check my Instagram page for the look — and he generously offered me this faux-gold shimmery disco necklace. Outfit complete!

Have fun with your look, mamas, and dare to look a little silly too. We all need a laugh once in a while.
