Hello friends!
If you’re like me, you are just this week plunging in and buying holiday gifts for your kids. Every year, I’m at such a loss when it comes to fun toys to invest in so to make things easier for you all, I thought I would compile gift lists this week on toddler, young kid and older kid toys. Here’s the first post and look for more to come this week!
When it comes to holiday gifts for my five children, I’ve always tried to invest in toys which are both durable and educational that can be handed down from child to child! Marielle, my youngest, has been spoiled in this regard! Here’s my list of educational toys that won’t break the bank this holiday season!
1. VTech Spin and Learn Color Spotlight – Rated #1 in educational toddler toys on Amazon, you know you’ll be getting a great deal! This toy comes with exciting music and songs that will teach your child about a number of different subjects, including animals, colors and numbers, and more! It boasts more than 50 sing-along songs and fun phrases for your child to learn, as well as a feature that makes learning numbers fun! Your child will love this portable toy!
2. Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Chair – A wonderful toy that literally grows up with your child! This lovable chair features more than 50 sing-along songs, tunes, and phrases and uses Smart Stages technology. This means that you can enter your child’s age and the chair will automatically conform to their stage in development!
3. LeapFrog My Pal Scout – If you’re the parent of a 6-36 month old, this adorable puppy will make the perfect learning buddy! It can be personalized before even leaving the box by connecting with your smart phone, tablet, or computer. It will even learn your child’s name and favorite things and offers more than 40 learning songs, melodies and lullabies, for both active daytime fun and nighttime soothing. A great way to introduce words, feelings, counting, and emotions!
4. VTech Rhyme and Discover Book – Looking for a durable and interactive infant book that includes 6 colorful pages of fun? The Rhyme and Discover Book from VTech also contains 7 popular nursery rhymes and 4 movable pieces, and over 20 different songs, phrases, and sounds. A toy that’s not only educational, but a breeze to clean once play time is over!
5. LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set – My favorite part about this toy is that it can conveniently take it’s place on your kitchen fridge! Just imagine, your child will be able to learn the alphabet while spending quality time with you in the kitchen as you prepare dinner. Moreover, this toy features 26 interactive letter tiles and teaches the alphabet, phonics, and early vocab.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this list and that it gives you some ideas. Stay on the lookout for another post this week regarding educational children toys! Comment below with your favorite toddler toy since many of us are still on the lookout!
