Short Peasant Style Dress

Hi there, chic mamas. I’m a fan of peasant style dresses. I like their casualness and femininity. When you think peasant style, images of long skirts and puffed sleeves from Little House on the Prairie might pop into your head, but push those images aside. This year’s peasant style dresses are short as can be, modern and hip! I found mine on sale at Maje last month in Barcelona.
Barcelona boasts warm winters so I was able to get away with this cozy red scarf, a birthday gift of my dear mama sent from Florida. Thanks, Mom. The red added some splash, picking up on some tiny red flowers in the pattern of the dress.
I added my own Club Monaco belt to give the look a bit more shape. I also put on a tank top because I am not so comfortable with low cut, but you ladies don’t need to go that way! When you got it, show it, right?
Photos taken, Marc and I dove into a six course tasting menu with wines. That made for a big night, but one we sorely needed. Ladies, remember to get gussied up once in a while and to hit the town with your sweetheart. You’ll bicker a heck of a lot less over who handles the kiddos the day after – ha ha!
Thanks for reading!
Love,
Melissa
