Hello everybody. So part of being a mom is realizing your limitations. Growing up in a rural area, my sister and I spent months envisioning, planning and executing creative Halloween costume ideas. When finished with our own, we began crafting our little brother’s costume. One year he appeared as a fireman complete with a vintage hat. Around his little body and held up by suspenders hung an old cardboard box painted into a red fire truck. That same year my sister decided to be grapes and chose a green leotard covered with green balloons. Given the dense fur trees in our area, by the end of Halloween night all the balloons had popped and she was droopy lettuce.
That was then, this is now. All I can manage is a little Amazon time with each of my kiddies during which they select their costume of choice. Creative? No. Yet, my kids seem delighted with their Halloween ideas and are looking forward to a fun-filled night of drowning themselves in candy.
Here are 5 Easy Halloween Costume Ideas for this year:
Marielle (5) has chosen this My Lil’ Pony Rainbow Dash outfit.
Annaliese (7) can’t wait to don her lovely mermaid outfit.
Beckett (9) plans to appear as this very attractive Headless Boy.
Lachlan has chosen this funky Werewolf Mask. That way he can wear regular clothes. Like his mama, he’s not a dress up kind of guy.
Hedley (12) plans to venture out dressed as his life dream, a judge.
And that about sums up what’s cooking’ over here for Halloween. What do your kids plan to be? Weigh in below and don’t forget to enter our Weekly Wrap Up plus giveaway.
