#WW 40: Pumpkins, Planes, and Skies

HI everyone.  Thanks so much for tuning in for my Weekly Wrap Up.  Since Marc and I returned from Florida late last night, this is coming out a wee bit late — sorry!

WW #40: Pumpkins, Planes and Skies

Fall is clearly here now in NYC with a chill in the air and fall flowers and pumpkins decorating the streets.

We are pretty close to being ready with four out of five Halloween costumes.  Have to figure out Lachlan’s now … how are you guys doing on that front?

Have you figured out you’re children’s Halloween costumes yet? Let me know in the comments if they have decided what to be for Halloween!

On Friday, I headed to the airport solo!  It took most of the week to organize being away for two days.  With three boys on travel soccer teams, we are blessed to have met some amazing fellow soccer parents and a bunch of them guys picked up and drove the boys to their practices and games.  The girls were easier to figure out since they have fewer activities.  I left a packed refrigerator and crossed my fingers.

Homework help?  Well, that is another story.  I’ll see how everything shakes out this week.  Unfortunately, my parents could not come because my Mom is getting ready for a total hip surgery (more on that to come)…melissa

We arrived in Ft Lauderdale and my sweetie picked me up (he’d been at a conference) and we drove to Boca Raton where Marc’s best friend’s daughter was due to have her Bat Mitzvah.  We went to an old favorite place for dinner, just the two of us.

And the next day?  Beach time.  The beach in Florida is so gorgeous and I couldn’t stop looking at the clear blue skies and sprawling clouds.  We walked along the beach and had a yummy salad before getting ready to go to the Temple.

We also squeezed in an hour at the gym.

Oh, the joys of being just a regular couple for two days without the stress of kids. No matter where you are in your marriage, quality time together is a much-needed ingredient in the recipe of what makes a good relationship!

Thanks so much for reading this week’s Weekly Wrap Up and check back in this week for some fun new shows.  Stay warm and please comment below telling what your kids are going to be for Halloween!  xo Melissa

Halloween is the only time I can easily convince others that my children are monsters.
