Reduce Stress with Exercise

Living in New York City, I don’t have many opportunities to hike on a regular basis. Last week, a friend invited me to participate in a group hike up to Tibidabo Amusement Park. Starting out, I didn’t know any of the fellow hikers particularly well. Yet as we walked, we chatted about our lives, kids, work, backgrounds, and dreams. Four hours later, with sore feet and our tummies full of delicious tortilla, we left each other delighted with an evening incredibly well-spent.

Try in whatever small ways you can manage to work out daily. If you can find a way to combine exercise with social interaction, all the better. Organize a walk with a friend or attend a group fitness or dance class. When you feel connected to others, you’re happier and more productive.
