Fisher-Price Rock N’ Play Sleepers Recall: Mold Risk

I know many of you have this product so I wanted to make you aware of a Fisher-Price Rock N’ Play Sleepers recall today. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning parents that mold can develop between the seat cushion and the sleeper’s plastic frame. Mold has been associated with respiratory illness and other infections and Fisher-Price says it has had 600 reports of mold on the product. Sixteen consumers say they had to treat their infants for respiratory issues, coughs and hives after sleeping in the Rock N’ Play.Recall of Fisher-Price Rock 'N Play Sleepers.

So guys, if you have one of these, immediately go check it for mold! Look for dark brown, gray or black spots. If you see any, the CPSC says you should immediately stop using the product and call Fisher-Price for cleaning instructions.

The recall, which includes 800,000 units, only calls for parents to inspect their Rock N’ Plays. Cleaning and care instructions for further use of the product can be found here.
