Hello, parents! Just another important recall to make you aware of today. Today I bring you a Consumer Product Safety Commission recall of 35,000 high chairs manufactured by Evenflo. Why is there a recall of Evenflo toddler high chairs?

This recall involves Evenflo convertible high chairs that convert from a high chair to toddler-size table and chair. The activity tray on the high chair can unexpectedly detach and allow an unrestrained child to fall, posing a risk of injury. Evenflo has received 18 reports of trays that detached, including eight reports of children who fell from the high chair and sustained bumps and bruises.

The convertible high chair can be identified by the model names (Dottie Lime, Dottie Rose, and Marianna) and model numbers. Model numbers are located on a label on the lower portion of one of the high chair’s legs.

These high chairs were sold at Toys “R” Us and Walmart stores nationwide, and online at Walmart.com and Wayfair.com between December 2011 and June 2012 for about $40. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Consumers with the recalled high chairs should immediately contact Evenflo for a replacement tray with installation and use instructions.
