Graco Recalls Nearly 5 Million Strollers

Graco Recalls Nearly 5 Million Strollers | CloudMomSpread the word!

Hello everyone.  As a parent, safety is my numbers 1 priority, especially when it comes to the stroller my child is sitting in. I was lucky enough to have the same stroller brand with all five of my children and never had a single problem. But if you’re a new parent using a stroller, here is some breaking news on eleven stroller recalls from Graco!

This past Thursday, Graco recalled several models, including the Aspen, Breeze, Capri and Solara, totaling to a whopping 4.7 million units in the US and about 202,000 in Canada. These are all single-occupant strollers with an external sliding fold-lock hinge on each side and a one-hand fold release mechanism on the handle. The company has already received 11 reports of finger injuries including six reports of fingertip amputation, 4 reports of partial-fingertip amputation and one finger laceration! Scary stuff!

If you think you may have one of these strollers, contact Graco immediately for a free repair kit! These kits will be available at the beginning of next month. In the meantime, exercise extreme caution when unfolding the stroller and make sure that all of the hinges are completely locked before using the stroller! If the stroller begins to fold unexpectedly, remove your child right away from the Graco.

Stay safe parents!
