Hello my dears. Even though we live in New York City, it’s not so often that we take advantage of all the culture the city has to offer. Most often, we live and breathe the life of our kids with trips to soccer practices, ballet, homework and the occasional movie.
For Marc’s birthday in late April, we made a special trip several blocks downtown to Broadway to see a controversial new play starring Michele Williams and Jeff Daniels, Blackbird.
As excited as I was for the night out, due to the kids afternoon schedules, I knew I did not have time to get home before our evening to change. So I needed something that could go easily from day to night. The weather was iffy also — starting to get warm, but with a slight chill in the air.
My friend Tamela several weeks before had recommended the most amazing, and reasonably priced, Vince Camuto espadrille sandals. I loved them so much I bought three pairs! This leopard skin pair works great with all sorts of cute casual outfits, and certainly with a simple black and white ensemble!
Tamela has a great eye, and she’s recently started her own Instagram account with great design looks for us moms and the home. Check it out!! She’s so talented!
I think these sandals are potentially the most comfortable pair of sandals I own, even though they have nice looking heel. They are super cushiony and you can eat them all day!
Topping off the outfit were my fav 7 for all Mankind jeans. Oh, and since it was after all date night, I put a black bra under the white blouse to spice things up a bit. Gotta keep the fires aflame, right mamas?
The play turned out to be thought-provoking, upsetting and inspiring since the acting was so good. The ability to see a live show definitely has to be one of the biggest advantages of living in NYC.
Thanks so much for reading and check back in next week for another Fashion post!
