One Shoulder Top from Ann Taylor

Hello mamas. You might have noticed that there’s an off the shoulder trend on the streets lately. When I first saw it, the conservative in me said “no way”, not my style and not age-appropriate. This Ann Taylor navy silk one-shoulder blouse caught my eye, though. Feeling whimsical one day, I bought it online on-sale and I am so glad I did.
This blouse presents irregularity in more ways than one. The top is gathered and offers a blouse for just one sleeve. The bottom cuts lower in the middle. A tie waist completes the feminine look. I paired this with black patent Stuart Weitzman shoes and skinny jeans. We all get into habits with what we wear, but try not to let habits turn to ruts. To battle ruts, try introducing something small that’s totally different. If you’re on a budget, wait for the sales and a perfect return policy and go for it. I don’t have a lot of time to shop, and rarely visit stores, but I do go online and peek for amusement. This adds a bit of fun and novelty to my days which often stream together as one endless treadmill of data entry and nagging kids to do their homework or get to bed.So, if you’re feeling icky and bored, try an off the shoulder blouse. Wear it out for a drink with friends, or maybe even for a fun lunch. Thanks for reading and check back in next week for another fashion post.
