Hello fashionista mamas. Before any trip, I deliberate over the right travel outfits. For cities, I look for dressy casual attire that can go from day to night, since often there isn’t time to rush home before dinner. When thinking about what to wear, I also look for outfits that can be paired with very comfortable shoes since how else can you enjoy the city sites?

Floral patterns became a fashion trend this Spring. I spotted this Liu Jo dress on sale at the Corte Inglès in Barcelona. It’s exactly my kind of tourist outfit aka dress. I’m not a shorts and sneakers kind of gal and always opt for dresses, but some are too hot and some are too fussy. Super comfortable, easy to walk in, and feminine. I wore my new dress for a day visiting Paris with Marc.

First up, Sainte Chapelle, a royal chapel in the Gothic style, constructed in the 13th century. King Louis IX of France commissioned this gorgeous chapel composed of stained-glass windows to house his collection of Passion relics, including Christ’s Crown of Thorns. Legend has it that the King — who paid more for the thorns then he did for the chapel —  didn’t actually end up with the real thorns. His masterpiece, though, has stunned visitors for generations. Nearly the entire chapel is composed of brilliant, colorful stained-glass and each window recounts a Biblical story.Next up, a walk over to our favorite ice cream shop, Berthillon, on the île St-Louis. The famous shop offers so many flavors that it’s difficult if not impossible to choose. I opted for peach, passionfruit and raspberry sorbet. You can see the Pantheon in the distance, which is right next to my old school. During my year in Paris I made some of my closest lifelong friends, who I was so fortunate to see during our short trip.Salut from Paris.
