How Giving Assistant Works
Using Giving Assistant is super easy. Sign up, fill in the basics, select a charity of your choice, choose how much of your cash back you’d like to donate to the charity, and start shopping!
To make sure it tracks your purchase, go to the store’s page (i.e. Macy’s) on Giving Assistant’s website, click the “Shop Now” button at the top and shop as you normally would. You will receive notification and payment 2-7 days later. Here’s a preview of how it tracks:
I made a purchase online at Macys.com buying some Christmas gifts, got cash back on my purchase and donated to my favorite charity all at once. It’s that simple. How awesome is that?
Top brands with rates for Giving Week are: Etsy (5%), Macy’s (8%), Vera Bradley (8%), eBags (12%), Home Depot (4%), Backcountry (12%), Gilt (8%), Forever21 (6%), Nasty Gal (15%), Blue Nile (5%), and AliExpress (8%).
Giving Assistant is also great for those days that leaving the house with the kids just seems out of the question. It’s so convenient to shop from the comfort of your own home plus you get donate to a great cause at the same time – something you could communicate with your kids and teach them the importance of giving back this holiday season.
Be sure to check out Giving Assistant and tell me what you think in the comments! Tis the season for more savings and more giving!
