Fun Fall Style

Hello dearies. Although I certainly don’t consider myself a fashion icon, I have so much fun with this weekly fashion post because it keeps me motivated to get dressed and to think of fun things to wear. Try to do the same. Use any occasion — a school event, a lunch with friends, a movie — to don something different and uplift yourself.
Two weekends ago we ventured down to see Marc’s mom, Bea, in a lovely assisted living facility outside Washington, D.C. That made for a special family reunion weekend. And we left with some heirlooms. As Bea loves giving things away, we departed with some of her lovely handbags and clutches, several of which I stowed away for the girls.
I kept one lovely black clutch with a gold chain shoulder strap for myself and wore it last weekend as we stepped out for drinks with some good buddies. If you’re short on time and on a budget, try meeting someone for coffee, tea or a drink. You’ll get the mental break you’re looking for without the stress of a big bill and the guilt of ditching your kiddos for too long!
Fall Fashion Trends
You can always count on Zara online, really. This red mini skirt outfit comes courtesy of this great brand. I’ve told you about the clutch, from my wonderful mother in law. The light down jacket — one of many fall fashion trends you’ll see lately — works nicely for day and for evening! I love the wide ruffle that runs along the bottom of my Colmar version. I have been living in this adaptable jacket. I wear it in the morning with yoga pants, for running around the city during the day, and at night as you see here.
Since it’s still hot in NYC, I went for gold studded sandals. You’ve seen these babies before too, mamas. Sorry I’m no Imelda Marcos (anyone remember her?). Nothing wrong with shopping your closet.Special thanks to the CloudMom in-house photographer aka my sweetie! What have y’all been wearing out and about this fall? Do you have a favorite fall trend?
