Romantic Style with a Maje Asymmetric Dress

When Valentine’s Day rolls around, you gotta have a romantic fashion idea in mind. I had been scouting around for something fun for Valentine’s Day for a while and hand’t found anything. It was tough going since I wanted to wear red, and meanwhile I don’t usually like myself in red. I spotted this Maje dress on sale at the Corte Inglès down the street from me and snatched it up. Maroon got me close enough to red; the dress’ asymmetric hem-line made it fun and modern; and it’s flowing cut felt comfortable and just plain different. The dress was also so comfortable to wear.
Marc took me to a fabulous restaurant in Barcelona for Valentine’s Day called Rilke. Against a plush decor composed of hemlock green and burnt-orange chairs, I blended right in!
When it comes to fashion, I often find myself seeking out more of the same. I have the looks I feel comfortable in and naturally find myself attracted to those. But it’s good to break out of the mold and try something new.
Newness in whatever form — a new drink, new recipe, new hiking trail or new candy bar — shakes us out of our routine and keeps life fresh. Do something new today. Eat something different. Change your type of exercise. Watch a new series. Mix life up and you get more out of it.
Love,
Melissa
