Finding long dresses when it’s early summer and your legs are pale can prove difficult. Good thing I have my close friend Tamela of AtStudios and GreenhouseNYC to rely on for awesome fashion tips. Tamela sweetly imparts all of her great finds. Last spring, she encouraged me to purchase this fun, easy dress from Madewell. I bought it in black and red. Whenever I’m not sure to wear in-between seasons, I pop this number on and it’s works great for any occasion.From the front, the dress is classic and discrete.It’s surprise element comes with the back, an open triangle. Just because you’re a Mom in your 40’s doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun, right ladies?I paired the summer black dress with some simple gold dangling earrings and my favorite gold studded white sandals to make for a nice outfit.

When it comes to outfits for summer, keep it comfy and easy. Dresses are so simple since you don’t have to think. Just add some cute sandals and you’re good to go! And when it comes to the styles of the dresses you’ll consider, don’t rule out long: if the dress has a nice shape, it can look just as stylish as the little black dress.
