Hello fashionista mamas. Mules have made a comeback this year. I am loving this slingback pair with kitten heels from Mercedes Castillo which go with pretty much everything. The taupe color of these mules is a great match with jeans, or any black or white outfit. The mules are just high enough to give you a little lift while low enough to be comfortable to walk in. That’s a good shoe for a mom!

Mules with soft leather like mine tend to mold around your feet and that feels so lovely! I wore this pair to lunch with my buddy Sandra at a restaurant around the corner from our gym. Sandra has been my savior over the past year in Spain, helping me with all sorts of advice and much needed emotional support. Gracias a Sandra we have a great pediatrician, dentist, orthodontist and school! Yup! We met years ago and soon thereafter created the tradition of going to our little favorite place after our Wednesday yoga class for a fancy lunch. I’m so lucky to have such a great friend, and how nice of her to step in for Marc and take this week’s fashion photos. Thank you, my dear Sandra!

Don’t you love the purple petals and lush greens on this stone wall? There are so many gorgeous flowers here in Barcelona and the sky is clear. However, it is starting to get really hot and humid so you won’t see jeans on me for long.

Kitten heel mules

If you are in the market for a pair of mules, try on a slingback pair with kitten heels like these. I find them to be even more comfortable than flats and they lend a slightly dressier look.

Oh, and the rest of the outfit! On the bottom, Madewell jeans and on the top, a crisp white Club Monaco blouse with a high starched collar and long zip down the entire back.  I love white blouses!
