Kid Fashion: Girls Down Jacket

Hello everyone. Melissa here, back with another one of our weekly fashion posts! Seems like almost every year, I am in the market for a kids winter coat of one sort or another! We do try to do hand-me-downs as much as possible but sometimes kids grow in ways that don’t make that possible. This year, since Marilee outgrew her coat (whereas Annaliese did not), so a winter coat for girls was at the top of my shopping list!
I did not, however, want a jacket. The girls get so cold and something warmer and longer to cover their bottoms and legs seemed ideal.
Lately, my entire family has been falling in love with Abercrombie and Fitch for kids. Hedley has a few button-down shirts and a hoodie and Lachlan has a warm, soft pair of sweatpants. I love A&F’s cool and modern designs; they strike the right balance between classic and fun! This brand has been around forever – I even remember seeing it when I was a kid.
When I saw this coat, I fell in love! It is comfy, light, warm and fun! Marielle loves it too and she feels very special on her walks to and from school.
Dressing for winter in NYC is no picnic and requires multiple layers, but I’m pretty sure this coat will make it through one winter if not two.
Thanks so much for reading and check back in next week for another fashion post!
Melissa
