How to Carry your Older Baby in the Beco Gemini – Legs Out Position
- September 22, 2015
- by Melissa Lawrence
Hello my dears. Back with a Tuesday how to video and the next in our series on the Beco gemini carrier. I’ve been having so much fun with this carrier this month that it’ll be hard to say goodbye (separation anxiety!).
By the end of this video, you’ll be an expert at carrying an older baby in the carrier with their legs out!
Front Carry in the Beco Gemini
Like with the other baby wearing positions, you’ll start off by snapping the carrier into place around your hips, adjusting the tightness using its dual-adjustability.
When that’s all figured out, it’s time for your baby! You’ll want to position your baby in a squatted, “froggy” position on your hips, and swing the arm straps over your shoulder. While still holding your baby with one hand, reach around and cross the shoulder strap and snap into place on the opposite side.
This will form an “X” with the straps. You’ll notice that your baby will have a lot of good support from his head to both knees in this position. Watch my video for more information and safety tips!
