Breastfeeding Tips
This problem can be especially tough when out in public. You’ll be nursing, trying to avoid strange stares and covering up as best you can, and your child becomes enthralled in the room abuzz with noises and people. With a nursing baby, you might be able to avoid this problem by covering your child’s head with the hospital burp cloth. It’s important to note that this shouldn’t be a sign of weaning or that your baby is full. Stick with it and be patient until your baby has had her fill.

Love your site. I have a 3 year old, 16 month old and 4 day old. What did you do with your other kids while establishing breastfeeding with your newborn? These feedings can take up to 40 minutes. What do you do with the other kiddos?

Those babies are close in age, Lindsey, and I had almost exactly this situation with my first 2, I had 3 in 2.5 years! I have to say it was rough! My best solutions were good long naps and early bedtimes! Often it was easiest to have them all just playing at home. I put my older babies in the pack n play when I needed to. I think they got up at 8 had a long nap and went to bed at 7!!! How’s it going for you?
