‘Good Cop’: My Day Off From Disciplining Kids

It seems I’m always playing “good cop, bad cop” at home. And unfortunately for me, I’m the “bad cop” parent, the one disciplining the behavior of my five children, giving instructions, mediating and generally keeping the peace (or at least trying to!). So recently I decided to take a day off and try the “good cop” parenting role.

What happened to my family dynamics? Well, dad didn’t exactly step up and take over, so the day kind of ended up being a free-for-all…but we had a lot of fun!
