Hello, hello!
Melissa here, with another exciting list of educational toys for kids you can gift your 5-7 year old children this holiday season!
I just love this age group. They are so curious about the world around them, yet are still holding on to their childhood innocence. It’s the beautiful ‘they still believe in Santa’ phase and I know I don’t want my kids to grow out of it! Sadly, my oldest have, but not my youngest two! Enjoying every moment while I can.
In the meantime, here are some educational activities your young children will love receiving this holiday!
1. The Magic School Bus: Going Green – $12.49 – Who’s ready for a field trip? If it’s with the Ms. Frizzle, count me in! This award-winning science kit allows your child to recreate the water cycle, build a compost tube, shrink plastic, create new paper, and so much more! Your little scientist will have so much fun learning about reusing, reducing, and recycling!
2. Zingo Time-Telling Board Game – $16.29 – Time flies by when you’re having fun! Your little one will be an expert time-teller after she’s played with this toy. I like that this toy can be bought for both beginner learners around age 5 or older kids who have already starting learning how to tell time. Includes a simple matching game for younger players and an advanced speed round for older kids.
3. Meteorite Dig Kit – A Space Science Adventure by National Geographic – $11.99 – Can you believe this kit comes with a genuine meteorite?? This is truly an educational adventure for your kids. Perfect for home schooling or for any child who’s interesting in starting or continuing his or her awesome rock collection!
4. KLOO’s Learn to Speak French Language Card Games – $17.99 – I might just put this on my list for the holiday shopping season! Having French-speaking family, I think it would be a wonderful way to get my kids excited about learning more vocab words and building thousands of new sentences. Would definitely come in handy if we make it over to France for another family trip! Comes in Italian and Spanish varieties, too.
5. Melissa & Doug USA Map 51 pcs Floor Puzzle – $11.69 – Now that we’ve explored Europe, let’s bring it back home to the states! Made of only the highest quality materials, you can be sure your kids will have hours of fun playing with this informative map puzzle! Includes the name and capital of each state, the Great Lakes, and a hallmark or industry of each state. For instance, New York features our dear Statue of Liberty. Fun for the whole family!
I hope you’ve enjoyed hearing about these high quality toys! I know I would have loved to have some of these when I was a little girl! Are any of these toys for kids on your list? Comment below and send along any more suggestions!
