Encouraging Creativity: The Golden Boy Fable
- October 2, 2012
- by Melissa Lawrence
We all know how important encouraging creativity is, but as a mom I don’t always know where to start! One idea I had was to make up some fables for kids, and, as an extra twist, I’ve left off the ending and want YOU to write in and suggest one! Post your ending below!
Pin for later!
Your children could act out these fables during playtime, and come up with endings of their own. So snuggle up for story time, and let your imaginations go wild! You might be surprised just how creative your little ones can get through story telling!

The golden boy can’t leave the tree because everything he touches turns to gold and if he left and followed the boy home his house would turn to gold as well.

HERE IS THE ENDING FROM MY OWN KIDS: THE BOY CANNOT LEAVE THE GOLDEN TREE B/C HE WILL BREAK OR PEOPLE CHARGE AFTER HIM AND ATTACK HIM! GOOD REASONS!

I cannot leave because a gold eating dragon waits at the river bank. He’s eaten my mother and father and he is waiting for me.

The golden boy can’t go because if he goes out of the tunnel, the other people may be so mesmerized by his golden appearance that they would try to capture him!

he can’t leave because if he leaves the tree will collapse and he will never be able to return home

“…otherwise the dream ends. Nothing gold can stay.” Then Nick says “stay gold, Ponyboy.”

My little one said “because if he leaves it he’s going to get rusty!”
