The holidays are all about indulging, and this party appetizer is the perfect thing to make for your New Year’s gathering. Your guests will be coming back for more! It’s also a great, warm dish to make for your family on a cold winter’s afternoon. I may surprise my hubby with it one of these Sundays when he’s watching football – a perfect football snack when you need energy to root on the team!

You really won’t believe how easy the recipe is — only a few ingredients and all you have to do is combine them. Even I can’t mess this one up!
It’s a great winter recipe to add to your arsenal because kids absolutely love it, too. (If your family is anything like mine, I might suggest doubling the recipe).

That dip sounds really good. I am going to try it. Thank you. I like to make mini puff pastry beggars purses. I stuff it with either ground meat and spices or mashed potatoes. Sometimes I will combine the two and make meat and potato in the puff pastry. Always a hit….and yummier when its homemade, always better then the party assortment you can find in the frozen foods aisle. Happy New Year!

My go to party food is my Garlic Cheesy Bread, its always a huge hit with any type of party theme or party food.
Ingredients:
1 loaf rosemary garlic bread (my preference, can use any bread. Even texas toast is yummy)
mayo
lemon juice
fresh garlic-crushed
salt/pepper
shredded cheese-I like to use the 4 cheese Italian blend but its all up to you. Any cheese would be good.
Directions:
Put oven on broil (or can use toaster oven)
cut bread into about 1 inch pieces and lay out on tray(I make my own out of aluminum foil to fit my small broiler)
In a bowl put a couple heaping tablespoons of mayo, l tablespoon lemon juice and one garlic glove crushed.
Add splash of salt and pepper and mix together
Now add cheese until you have a thick cheese mixture (should be the mayo mix is just to wet and clump cheese)
With spoon spread very thin layer on each piece of bread
broil for 3-5 minutes checking frequently to ensure you dont burn and possibly turn the tray halfway for even broiling.
The smell that will permeate your house is pure heaven and you will be the hit of the party!

Pickle wraps! Dry off large whole pickles with a paper towel. Spread the outside with cream cheese. Wrap with thinly sliced meat of your choice. Cut into bite-size slices.
