Hello everybody!  Melissa here back with another fashion post.  Sorry this is coming out late.  With the end of school, I can barely breathe!  Beckett got his finger caught in a door and fractured it yesterday, which has not helped matters since I spent the day at his pediatrician and then a hand surgeon’s office!  With his finger wrapped up and a custom splint his brothers are vying for, he’s now ok.

OK, on to happier things.  Today I’m showing off an amazing pair of shoes my friend Tamela also suggested to me (and remember to check out her new Instagram page with her great picks), which I paired with some simple and comfy J.Crew pants and a white, eyelet Club Monaco blouse.  The resulting summer outfit was so breezy and comfortable I wore it to my college reunion over the weekend and plan to wear it to Marielle’s graduation from preschool tomorrow.

First up, the shoes.  These shoes offer a funky twist on gladiator sandals, since they’re black, light blue and white.  They’re so comfortable you can walk around in them all day.

The capped sleeve top from Club Monaco is transparent, light and breezy and perfect for a hot summer day.

When it comes to a black pants outfit, I like to pair the pants with a light color for contrast.  Thus the crisp white.

The pants are the Teddy pant from JCrew, currently on sale, stretchy but fitted and a great, classic capri pant.  Try them.
