Hello Mamas!
As you’re learning the best way to breastfeed your baby, you’ll discover that you also have to learn a whole new vocabulary! Fun, right? Take hind milk, for instance. What’s that, you might be wondering. Keep watching to find out!
Breastfeeding Vocabulary
In this video, I explained to you the difference between foremilk and hind milk, an important distinction for nursing moms. I also talked a little bit about how to alternate sides when you’re nursing which is a good idea for even milk production. Keep watching for a trick on how to remember what breast you last nursed on, which is very helpful when you are switching sides. I would say that the best way to breastfeed if you can swing it is to alternate between your two breasts and encourage each of them to produce milk.
Did you concentrate on getting your baby hind milk when you are nursing? For how long did you nurse on each side? Please comment below, I’d love to hear what you have to say!
