WW #72: Family Travel in Spain and More …

Hello mamas and papas and welcome back to our Weekly Wrap-Up!  Here are some highlights of our week.

Hedley and I celebrated International Yoga Day with Xuan-Lan, a well known yoga teacher in Barcelona and the co-founder of the movement of Free Yoga.  Practicing yoga with my eldest in the fresh air while the sun went down moved me deeply.  We held hands a few times, which left mama savoring the moment.

Say hello to my second daily cup of coffee, a newly found ritual.  The powdered chocolate on top makes all the difference.

We headed to the Costa Brava for the weekend to check out the coastal towns and glorious beaches.  If you’re looking for things to do in Spain, put this glorious coastline lined with small, quaint villages and looming sunsets at the top of your list.

While the girls and I dipped our feet in the cool waters, the boys stuck to beach soccer.

Here’s a pic of the whole family before dinner overlooking the sunset.  It’s such a relief to have my sweetie here and not be manning the troops on my own!  Mimicking the Spanish, we let the kids go to bed late (which for those of you who know me, is not usually my tendency!).

Gluten free oatmeal was not happening at our hotel, so I opted for this protein rich breakfast.

Since the in-house CloudMom photographer was at my disposal, I got right to work shooting some photos for upcoming posts from our lovely sponsor, Onzie yoga wear.

Here we are exploring the town of Pals…

Great tips about jet lag. We never traveled abroad with the kids, but I agree that sticking to a schedule is best. I visited Costa Brava when I was younger. I remember the sand being so hot it burned my feet!

    • Schedules are so important. They can really be a lifesaver while traveling.
