Time Management Advice For New Parents

When you become a parent, your time is no longer something that belongs completely to you. The time that you once had to work on projects, get things done around the house and run errands now belongs to piano lessons, gymnastics classes, doctor’s appointments and the little curveballs that life just happens to throw at you every once in a while. I know that I personally have struggled with time management as life became more and more hectic with my 5 kids, but I’ve been trying to stick to a New Year’s resolution of managing my own time better. Here’s what I’m trying to do…
Moms, how do you organize your time?!

How can busy moms prioritize their time better?
Prioritizing time can seem impossible for us busy moms, especially because we are constantly being hit with things that we don’t see coming. We think that we have all the time in the world to get things done, but the truth is, life happens. Kids get sick, we get calls from their school, there are doctor’s appointments, etc. All of these things happen and there are so many details in every single day. So the big chunks of time are rare, and you’re faced with a mountain of big and small tasks you need to get one. How?
In today’s video, I talk about how as a New Year’s resolution, I figured that I would try this: save the big chunks of time for the larger projects, and save the smaller chunks of time for little projects. This seems to be working fairly well, although it’s not perfect. For more on how I’m doing this, watch my video!
Oh, and if you’re a new mom and you need tips on how to become more organized with your time, I cover that in another video.
