Plum Organics Recalls Certain Plum Pouches

HI everyone.  Another big child product recall alert for us today, although this one is not coming from the CSPC, which issues most of  the product recall alerts we cover.  Plum Organics voluntarily recalled pouch products within its Baby Stage 2, Tots Mish Mash and Kids lines after discovering a manufacturing defect that may cause spoilage in some pouches, causing some pouches to swell. If you own any of these pouches, check the information on the back under the Best By date immediately.

The recalled pouches have “Best By” dates ranging from 08/05/14 to 12/08/14 and carry the letters “AT.” Consumers can find a list of affected products at www.plumorganics.com/Nov13Recall.pdf.  Pouches with this information should not be fed to your children.  Here are some images of the recalled pouches:

In a press release, Plum Organics co-founder and president Neil Grimmer said: “We started this company with the mission of providing the very best food to little ones from the very first bite. Because of our unwavering commitments to that mission, I’m writing to inform you that we are conducting a voluntary recall.”

Contact Plum Organics to request a product replacement voucher. More information on the recalled products and how to request a voucher is available here.

Please spread the word about this important recall.
