Colmar Lightweight Down Jacket

Hello mamas! Recently, Marc and I had the opportunity to venture to Las Cruces, New Mexico where we visited with my aunt and uncle. The weather was pretty hard to pin down — in the mornings and evenings, it got chilly but mid-day, it really heated up. My constant companion was this fun Colmar lightweight down jacket, which kept me cozy but not too hot.
I am a huge fan of down coats. I love that they are light, waterproof, easy to pop on and off, and great for travel. In planes, trains and automobiles (when I’m not driving), I use them as a pillow for napping!
With all the new fashions out nowadays, down jackets have gotten funkier too and can bring a lot of functional style to your wardrobe.
But I’ve never had a down coat for spring or fall, only for winter. So this Colmar jacket really filled a hole in my wardrobe, namely the April and October hole.
This Colmar spring down coat is pretty original also because it has a fun flare skirt for an added touch of feminine whimsy.
Here I am in Mesilla, the old part of Las Cruces, and you get a sense of how strong the sun is.
This photo shows one other fun aspect of the jacket — the three quarter sleeves!
Thanks so much for reading and check back in next Wednesday for another fashion post!
Love,
Melissa
