Over the course of five babies, I relied heavily on a nice, tight swaddle during the early months. I swaddled my first with his arms in until almost 5 months, poor thing! I transitioned my later babies from an arms-in swaddle to an arms-out swaddle.
Swaddling babies is a science and an art. You need to get your swaddling blanket down just right and position the baby on top in the right position and at the right angle. The it’s either simple or complex origami depending on how confident your are. So in order to gain expert status in the swaddling department, watch my video and practice, practice, practice. You’ll get there. And remember, you want the blanket nice and tight so that your little one cannot escape, which ensures that the swaddle is safe.
