Carrying your Newborn Infant in the Beco Gemini Baby Carrier – Legs Out Position

`` (

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my little series on the Beco Gemini Baby Carrier! In my previous video, I shared with you some of the awesome features that make this carrier one of the safest and most comfortable on the market! Today, I’ll be giving you a step-by-step guide and demonstration of carrying your baby with their legs out in the Beco Gemini!

Beco Gemini Baby Carrier Legs Out Position for Newborns

Beco Infant Carrier

One of the coolest, most unique features of the Gemini is its snaps at the bottom of the carrier. These are useful when you want to adjust the width of the carrier, making it either wider or narrower for your baby depending on their age and weight. I’ll be using the Beco carrier with the snaps in the narrower position, giving my baby enough room to sit with their legs out.

First, you’ll need to snap these in place, and secure the carrier around your waist using the buckle. Adjust it so that it’s tight, tight, tight! Dual-adjustability in the buckle means you can adjust on both sides of the buckle.

Once you have your baby in the front-facing position, you can now smooth the carrier over the baby, always keeping support on their head and neck. Swing the straps over your arms and attach these on your sides. You’ll be making an X out of the straps on your back. It’s important to make sure that your baby is getting knee-to-knee support in what I call the Beco Gemini newborn froggy position. If you notice that your baby isn’t getting the support needed for their legs, you’ll have to adjust the snaps to the wider setting.
